In 1975, Maurice Lacroix was founded in Saignelégier, in the Swiss Jura. Half a century later, the maison returns to its founding year with the Masterpiece 1975 Skeleton, the new halo piece of the Masterpiece collection, a watch that lays its movement bare. In a 43 mm stainless steel case, the 1975 Skeleton pairs timeless elegance with quiet precision: a sapphire crystal with neutral anti-reflective coating lets the openworked dial express itself in complete purity, while 5 ATM of water resistance accompanies it day after day, without compromise.
The Open Movement
At its heart runs the automatic calibre ML234, holding a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The balance beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour, a measured cadence carried on 34 jewels, and every layer of the mechanism stands open to view. Hours and minutes are joined by a small seconds display at 6 o'clock.
Three References
The 1975 Skeleton arrives in three references, each distinguished by the finish of its openworked architecture: 758108-SS001-090-2 rendered entirely in black, 758108-S1S12-001-3 with 4N gold-toned accents, and 758108-S1S12-002-3 in steel tones. Each is worn on a black calf leather strap with the M logo and tone-on-tone stitching, closed by a stainless steel butterfly folding clasp and fitted with the Easychange quick strap replacement system.
